The Georgia Recycling Coalition (GRC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of the GRC is to compliment and coordinate activities relative to recycling, to foster communications among professionals, organizations, government agencies and individuals, and to promote and enhance reduction and recycling programs throughout the state.

The Recycling and Materials Management Taskforce works to increase resource recovery and expand recycling market development for the City of Atlanta.

Sustainable Atlanta created the Recycling and Materials Management (RMM) Taskforce with a mission to increase the amount of commercially viable, recoverable resources going to the most beneficial end markets, while encouraging the development of new markets. Comprised of an advisory group of business and civic leaders, the taskforce strives to provide citizens with opportunities for a safe and healthy environment, increased quality of life and economic development.

To date, Recycling Taskforce Members have:

Reviewed Atlanta's existing public and private recycling programs and policies

Conducted best practice research of Atlanta's peer cities

Identified and assesed Atlanta's recycling challenges

Developed a series of recycling policy recommendations with proposed action steps

The implementation of the recommendations will help to build Atlanta's recycling infrastructure, create jobs and stimulate Atlanta's economy.
